Brisingr, or, The Seven Promises of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Bjartskular by Christopher Paolini

untitledBrisingr by Christoper Paolini. Recommended by Addison, aged 9.

Following the colossal battle against the Empire’s warriors, Eragon & Saphira narrowly escaped with their lives. But more awaits the Rider & his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by promises he may not be able to keep, including his oath to cousin Roran to help rescue his beloved Katrina.

‘It’s a good book and I would recommend it to all mystical storey lovers.  The elves’ names are a little tricky but it shows you how to pronounce them at the back of the book.’ Addison (Bury Library junior member).
