‘Saved by the Book’ – help raise money for Bury Hospice by reading!

Saved by the Book – help support Bury Hospice

‘Saved by the Book’ is a fundraising initiative for Bury Hospice that young and old and all those in-between can get involved in.  All you have to do is read books from your local library.  It is a great way to encourage children to read whilst helping those in a time of need, and can be done from the comfort of your sofa.   So, how do you get involved…

First of all call into Ramsbottom Library to pick up your own Bury Hospice collection box to have at home, at your reading group or at school.  Decide on an amount you can afford to donate for each book you borrow and read from one of our libraries, it could be 10p, 20p, £1, or more, it is up to you.

Every time you finish a library book, put your donation in your Bury Hospice Collection Box.

On 30th November 2017 all boxes need to be handed into Ramsbottom Library where monies raised will be collected and sent to Bury Hospice by 1st December 2017.  We will also post an article on social media with the amount raised and how many books were read in total.

If you are interested in taking part in this initiative, please call into Ramsbottom Library or contact Louise via email at L.Guilfoyle@bury.gov.uk
