Celebrate Harry Potter’s 20th Anniversary on the 26th June

Wow! Can you believe that it is twenty years since the first Harry Potter – Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone – was published?

Would you love the perfect excuse to re-read a favourite or to discover Harry and his magical world for the first time?  We are really excited to announce that for a two-week period, starting from the 26th June and finishing on the 9th July, all of our library members will be able to borrow the eBook on Overdrive.  Unusually, there will be no limit to the number of loans for each library service; so all of our borrowers can read to the book for free and at the same time, no need for holds or waiting lists.

Bury Libraries hold many copies – and in several formats – of J K Rowling’s classic first instalment of the Harry Potter series.

You can really join in the celebrations by commenting on social media using #HarryPotter20 or by joining Pottermore’s Wizarding World Book Club which is being launched in celebration of the 20th anniversary.
